Development Timeline

Hosting a Solar Array on your land

  • This type of development project is NOT supplying energy directly to your property.
  • Instead, the panels feed into the grid and supply clean energy for the community.
  • Projects are typically 20 acres or more. Neighboring land may be used in some cases.
  • Solar array is typically fenced in and locked.
  • Rows are typically 5 – 9 feet apart.
  • Racking is either fix-tilt or tracking
  • Piles are typically galvanized steel, drilled 4 – 8 feet into the ground
  • Interconnection – distribution line is built from array to Utility transmission line.
