Hosting a Solar Array on your land
- This type of development project is NOT supplying energy directly to your property.
- Instead, the panels feed into the grid and supply clean energy for the community.
- Projects are typically 20 acres or more. Neighboring land may be used in some cases.
- Solar array is typically fenced in and locked.
- Rows are typically 5 – 9 feet apart.
- Racking is either fix-tilt or tracking
- Piles are typically galvanized steel, drilled 4 – 8 feet into the ground
- Interconnection – distribution line is built from array to Utility transmission line.
