Jonathan Cheszes, Board Member, is a renewable and clean energy market expert that regularly advises clients on the market, technical and economic risks and opportunities for various technologies throughout North America. He has recently lead a number of solar and battery storage feasibility and market assessments in support of front of the meter and behind the meter applications across Canada. Mr. Cheszes lead the sale of wind and solar assets in Ontario and served as an expert witness in a dispute focused on timing and cost of solar systems. He has also lead a team that originated and secured over 80 MW of distributed solar assets in Ontario under the former Feed-in Tariff Program.
Mr. Cheszes has a strong background in policy, technical and financial aspects related to solar and wind energy and has performed multiple market assessment and investor due diligence assignments. He is formerly an Associate Director with Navigant Consulting and held positions with the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) prior to Navigant. While at Navigant he provided market assessments in support of some of the largest recent Canadian renewable energy transactions, served as the FIT 2.1 procurement Evaluation Monitor and has led the provision of Independent Engineering services to a Canadian institutional lender for Ontario solar projects.
